The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) has upheld the decision of the South West Caretaker
Committee reversing the suspension of former Governor of Ekiti State,
Mr. Ayo Fayose and the state party Chairman, Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe,
among others.
A statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the National
Chairman of PDP, Mr. Oliver Okpala, said the national leadership of the
party also upheld the appointment of the Dr. Oluyomi Finnih-led five-man
investigative committee into the party crisis in Ekiti State.
While commiserating with those that were attacked during the crisis,
the NWC directed the Finnih committee to investigate the fracas at the
party secretariat, establish the perpetrators and their sponsors with a
view to recommending appropriate sanctions.
